ON THAT FRONTIER ONE COULD
REALLY READ THE FOLLOWING:
THE LAST ONE THAT LEAVES
SWITCHES OFF THE LIGHTS
SO THAT NOBODY CAN FIND
THIS POOR COUNTRY
BETWEEN THE RUINS
AN OLD MAN REMAINED
WITH HIS PAIN THAT ALMOST RAN DRY
BECAUSE TOO MANY TEARS FELL ALREADY
AND CREATED AN EMPTYNESS
INSIDE HIMSELF
I CANNOT LEAVE THIS PLACE, HE SAID
MY FEET ARE TOO TIRED AND
MOREOVER THIS LAND IS MINE,
HAVE A LOOK AT IT
I’VE PLANTED THIS CHERRY-TREE MYSELF
AND IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS
IT WILL BLOOM, AS A SIGN OF HOPE
IT WILL BLOOM AGAIN
AND IT WILL SEE THIS LONG SCENT
IT TIGHTENS MY HEART MORE
THAN EVER TO SEE THAT
ALL FRIENDS WILL GO AWAY
ALL THE VOICES WILL GO...
ONCE THE DAY SETS IN
EVEN THE BIRDS WILL GO
AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
WHERE UNHAPPINESS RULES
WHERE WINTER WAITS IN FRONT OF THE DOOR TO BLOW ANOTHER COLD
EVERYTHING WILL GO AWAY
THE NEWLY-MARRIED COUPLES WILL GO
TILL WHERE? WHO KNOWS?
HOW LONG WILL THE WAY BE BEFORE
ONE WILL BE ABLE TO STOP FOR A WHILE...
ON THAT FRONTIER ONE COULD
ALMOST READ THE FOLLOWING:
THE LAST ONE THAT LEAVES
SWITCHES OFF THE LIGHTS
AND NEVER COMES BACK ANYMORE
UNTIL HE OR SHE WILL SEE
THE BEAUTIFUL WEATHER OF THE
GOOD FEELING FOR HUMANITY AGAIN
ON THAT FRONTIER...
